Obituary for Rollin G. Booth

Rollin G.  Booth
Rollin G. Booth, 86, of Bronson, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at his home.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Jim Erwin from Bethel-Gilead Church officiating. Interment will follow at West Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home.
Rollin was born July 10, 1928 in Bronson, MI to Harry & Blanche (Spade) Booth. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and married Marie Thomas on Sept. 11, 1948 in Angola, IN. She preceded him in death on October 11, 2001.
Mr. Booth worked for many years at the Kirsch Company in Sturgis, retiring in 1983. After his retirement his love of the outdoors and farming led him to operate his family farm for many more years. It was one of his favorite pastimes along with spending time with his family.
Rollin is survived by his daughter Teresa Booth of Jackson, his grandchildren Tara (Andrew) Grove of Pacific Palisades, CA, Troy (Danielle) Smoker of Clark Lake, his great grandchildren Olivia Smoker and Anders Grove and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his son Douglas Booth in 1966, his brother AJ Booth and his nephew Steve Booth.
Memorials may be directed to the Bethel-Gilead Church or the Bronson Food Pantry.
