Ellyn Marcelle O’Keefe, 61 of Coldwater passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Laurels of Coldwater.
The funeral service will be Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Pierce of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Knauss Cemetery. Visitation will be held, prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
Ellyn was born March 2, 1953 to James and Delta (Brockey) Blanton in South Bend, IN, and graduated from Coldwater High School in 1971.
Ellyn enjoyed listening to music and watching Let’s Make a Deal and Wheel of Fortune. She loved laughter, playing jokes and most especially treasured time with her daughter and grandchildren. Ellyn will be remembered as a gentle, kind-hearted person, always willing to help others.
Ms. O’Keefe is survived by her father James Blanton of Coldwater; her daughter Amber O’Keefe of Eugene, OR; her grand-children Trevor Sanders of Juneau, AK and Sorina O’Keefe of Eugene, OR; her brothers Ermil (Pauline) Brockey of Goodyear, AZ, Wayne Brockey of Klamath Falls, OR, David Brockey of Coldwater, James P. (Sheryl) Blanton of Phoenix, AZ, and Charles (Sandra) Blanton of North Port, FL; her sister Carol Montgomery of North Baltimore, OH; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Delta Blanton; her brother Wesley Blanton; her sister-in-law Barb Brockey and her brother-in-law John Montgomery.
