Gerald C.  Cox
Gerald C. Cox, 76, of Coldwater, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his home.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Gerald was born January 8, 1938 in Tekonsha to Charles E. and Elizabeth L. (Bitz) Cox. He married Patricia A. Williams on August 31, 1957 in Quincy.

Jerry worked for the Coldwater Regional Center for 17 years, retiring in 1991. After retirement, he started Jerry’s Lawn Care & Snow Removal to keep active.

He was an active member of the Quincy United Methodist Church and very involved with the Masons and Shriners. Jerry served as past master of the Quincy Masonic Lodge and is currently a member of the Kinderhook Masonic Lodge. He served as past president of the Branch Co. Shrine Club and as coordinator for their child care program, driving kids to hospitals for over 10 years. Jerry loved his work with the Shriners and was very committed to the children. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially loved to care for and nurture his grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife Pat, his daughters Suzan (Jim) Walkup of Coldwater, Karen (Ron) Neuman of Morenci, his sisters Geraldine (Paul) Minniear of Tekonsha, Beth Cox, his brothers Boyd and Wayne Cox, his grandchildren Ryan & Eric Walkup, Veronica & Sharon Neuman, his great grandchildren Rylan, Aubrey and Charlie Walkup. He was preceded in death by his sister Charlene Cox.
