Obituary for Thelma Jean Yearling

Thelma Jean Yearling, 86, of Coldwater, passed away on January 6, 2014 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.

No funeral services are planned. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.

Thelma was born November 27, 1927 in California Township to Herbert and Audra (Wheaton) Bailey. After attending Coldwater High School, Thelma married the love of her life, Philip Yearling in Coldwater on December 16, 1945. She worked in manufacturing for many years. In 1966, Thelma and Philip started PT Stamping in Coldwater where the company is still operating.

Thelma was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, and great grand-mother. She enjoyed riding motorcycles during the summer months in Michigan. Upon starting PT Stamping, she worked many hours to help grow the company in many areas of steel fabrication.

Thelma is survived by her sons Mark (Brenda) Yearling of Reading and Ned (Beth) Yearling of Coldwater; brother Robert (Myrna) Bailey of Hillsdale; grand-children Mark Yearling, Darrel (Jennifer Saulnier) Yearling, William (Amanda) Yearling, and Neil (Amy) Yearling; great grand-children Aspen, Lainey, Kira, Kristian, and Leo Yearling. She was preceded in death by her husband Philip in 2003; her parents; daughters Sue White and Janet Yearling; and brother Lawrence Bailey.
