Obituary for Donald E. Vorce

Donald E.  Vorce
Donald Vorce, 74, of Bronson, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Battle Creek.
The funeral service will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler of First Congregational Church officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2013 from 5 -8:00 PM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home. According to his wishes, cremation will follow.
Donald was born February 3, 1939 in Bronson, MI to David E. & Goldie (Mosser) Vorce, Sr. He married Bonita Henry and then Vera Westra on December 17, 1972. She preceded him in death on July 3, 2002.
Mr. Vorce had served in the US Marine Corp from 1958 – 1961. He worked for George Miller & Son Excavating Co. in St. Joseph, MI for 28 years and then for Oak Products in Sturgis, from which he later retired.
Don was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing and cutting wood. He liked to tinker and was always working on his tractors.
Don is survived by his sons Earl Vorce, Darrel (Tonia) Vorce all of Bronson, his daughters Corrine (David) Rantz of Benton Harbor, Annette Vorce of Fulton, Veronica (Vern) Ross of Bronson, his step children Michael (Marsha) Pierson of Ypsilanti, Bruce Vincent of Florida, his brother David E. (Bertha) Vorce, Jr. of Bronson, his sisters Clara Mae (Joe) Antoszkiewicz of Bronson, Janet (Ronald) Modert of Florida, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Memorials may be directed to the Charity of One’s Choice.
