Denise L. Atkins, 47, of Quincy, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
The funeral will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Steve Pickell from Pine Ridge Bible Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fisher Hill Cemetery in Algansee Twp. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 6-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Denise was born December 14, 1965 in Battle Creek, MI to V. Jack & Dena (Hemry) Carnell. She had attended KCC and later graduated from Beauty School. Denise became a licensed beautician and had worked at many local salons in the Coldwater area over the past 20 years.
Denise enjoyed reading and watching her son play sports. She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Denise is survived by her daughter Katie (Jeff) Avra- Chatfield of Coldwater, her sons Trenton Atkins, Troy Davis both of Quincy, her mother Dena Carnell of Battle Creek, her sisters Jackie (Doug) Hoppa of Holly, Marilyn (Gene) Scullion of Battle Creek, her grandson Austin Chatfield, 3 nieces and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her father V. Jack Carnell.
