Obituary for Malcolm R. Vanderpool

Malcolm R. Vanderpool, 61, of Tekonsha, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at his home.
The funeral service for Malcolm will be Monday, December 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard Twp. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 3 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Malcolm was born October 30, 1951 in Coldwater to Malcolm and Beatrice (Cole) Vanderpool. He graduated from Tekonsha High School in 1972 and married Bonnie Riley on August 21, 1981 in Girard.
Growing up, Malcolm had worked alongside his parents on the family farm. He had studied retail and marketing before beginning his career in sales. He had worked for many years at the former Tempo/ Big Wheel Store, Coast to Coast, Kroger and was currently working at the Coldwater Meijer store. Malcolm was very dedicated to his work and thoroughly enjoyed talking to people and waiting on his customers. He was a 41 year member of the Coldwater Eagles. He enjoyed basketball and fishing and was always attending a toy show somewhere, in search of John Deere items. Malcolm had a very strong faith in God, and was a hardworking, caring man who adored his family and friends.
In addition to his wife Bonnie, Malcolm is survived by his mother Beatrice Vanderpool of Tekonsha, his sister Mary Vanderpool of Coldwater and his two very special dogs Ginger and Buddy. He was preceded in death by his father Malcolm on December 19, 1993.
