Obituary for Beatrice Edwards

Beatrice Edwards, 93, of Coldwater, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Drew’s Place of Coldwater.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Mason Cemetery in Coldwater Township with David Brown from Lockwood Community Church officiating. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Beatrice was born February 15, 1918 in Coldwater to Frank & Irma Belle (Smith) Gage. She married Herbert Edwards on April 21, 1934 in Coldwater. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2002.
Mrs. Edwards was a beautician, owning and operating Bea’s Beauty Bungalow in Dearborn, MI for 34 years. She came back to the Coldwater area in 1985 and had attended Lockwood Community Church. Bea was very gifted in her artistic abilities. She enjoyed painting, especially fine china, creating three dimensional paper art and a variety of ceramics. Bea was also an excellent seamstress and had made and sold hundreds of custom “Cabbage Patch” dolls. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and in her later years knitted many afghans for the elderly.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter Rose Marie (John) Kiley of Henderson, NV, her sister Wanda Manifold of Quincy, her grandson Kevin (Britt) Kiley of Tustin, CA and her great granddaughters Jadyn & Sloan Kiley. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sisters Frances Barrows & Emma Love.
