Obituary for Nancy J. Jenkot

Nancy J. Jenkot, 75, of Coldwater, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
According to her wishes, no services will be held. Interment of ashes will be at Lester Cemetery in Algansee Twp. at a later date.
Nancy was born November 19, 1936 in Marion, Indiana to James & Natalie (Beach) Ring, but was raised by her mother and step father Bernard (Tiger) Kolassa. She was married for over 20 years to Casmer (Casey) J. Jenkot on July 24, 1982 in Coldwater. He preceded her in death in December 6, 2004.
Mrs. Jenkot was a medical receptionist for many years at Dr. Stewart’s office in Union City and Dr. Parker’s in Coldwater. She had also worked at the Community Health Center of Branch Co. in Medical Records. Together, Nancy and her husband, Casey, owned and operated the former Casey’s Antiques in Coldwater for many years. Nancy enjoyed traveling and searching garage sales, but she was most passionate about her work with the Commission on Aging, which she was currently still involved with and has done for the past 15 years. She truly loved the many people she took care of, giving rides and tending to their needs. She will be dearly missed.
Nancy is survived by her sons Todd Hughes, Michael Hughes, her step daughters Linda (Larry) Porter of Coldwater, Barbara (Don) Ross of Elkhart, IN, her step sons James Jenkot of Colon, Robert (Cathy) Jenkot of Marshall, her brother Tom (Gayle) Kolassa of Battle Creek and many grand and great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Commission on Aging.
